Darco medical shoe relief dual

The Darco Relief Dual ® is a forefoot-relieving shoe that provides stability, shock absorption and pressure displacement after foot surgery. The new Off-Loading shoe is ideally suited to use after osteotomies, after surgery on fractures, diabetic foot syndrome problems, Hallux Valgus surgeries and other forefoot problems. The Darco Relief Dual ® provides a balance in stability and the decrease in pressure on the foot after operations. The improved shock absorption is particularly manifested in the region around the ball of the foot and the heel region. The soft inner lining ensures high wearing comfort and the modern design combined with lightweight and breathable material further enhances the wearing comfort. The upper lining is seamless and the Darco Relief Dual ® has a large front comfort zone that accommodates the forefoot (e.g. in Hallux Valgus operations), with the sturdy support region at the rear keeping the heel perfectly in place.

The Darco Relief Dual ® revolutionizes off-loading techonology. The newly developed ‘Dual’ sole combines the benefits of an EVA shock absorption material and the non-slip properties of rubber, for a groundbreaking step in the post-operative (Post-OP) treatment of foot care. In addition, the roller properties of the shoe have been improved, without increasing the pressure on the forefoot. Unlike normal with a forefoot-relieving shoe, the surface of the stiff shaft is enlarged to the entire sole area. This ensures maximum resale of pressure, while the metatarsophalangal joint (MTP I & MTP V) and the distal interphalangal joint (DIP I & V) are effectively immobilized.

The Darco Relief Dual ® can be combined with the Puzzle Insole ® or the Relief Contour Insole, which, thanks to their unique wedge-shaped design, ensure a further reduction in pressure around the forefoot. The insole can therefore be replaced (e.g. in case of wound contamination in case of ulcers or other complaints). In combination with the PegAssist ® sole, in addition to the innovative ‘Dual’ sole technology, an additional option is found for reducing pressure on specific vulnerable areas on the forefoot. The Darco Relief Dual ® has a wide entry level, making it easy to get on and off. The shoe can be worn both left and right, is available individually and thanks to the low sole, height compensation on the contralateral side (in the form of compensatory footwear) is not necessary. The Darco Relief Dual ® can also be combined with the Darco Relief Insert Walker, which makes the Relief Dual serve as a perfect base for the Walker. There is also a Toe Cap available to cover and shield the toes.
