The Posterior Splint splint is intended for postoperative immobilization and positioning and/or post-traumatic immobilization of the ankle and lower leg. The splint can be used in the (short-term) stabilization of (Achilles tendon) ruptures, dislocations, fractures, sprains or sprains. The splint consists of a plastic bowl in combination with a soft, dense foam. The splint is available in three corner positions, 90°, 90°Plus (for patients with limited dorsal flexion in the upper ankle joint) and 110° (for Achilles tendon problems). This allows the healthcare provider to provide tailored care, depending on the indication. The splint is lightweight for high wearing comfort and is anatomically shaped to ensure an optimal fit. At the same time, the splint is stable, without becoming rigid. The built-in crochet and loop strips on the back of the splint provide anti-slip bandagering. The splint is equipped with two oval recesses, resulting in additional air circulation. The Darco Posterior Splint is a ready-to-use rear splint that can be used in any care phase (even during radiological research). Direct postoperative use in the operating room ensures that unnecessary plastering and/or heating and forms of the splint are no longer required, saving precious minutes in the postoperative phase. The splint is applied after the surgical wound is connected. It is recommended to start turning the bandage from the plantar aspect of the splint in an upward direction, from distal to proximal. The splint can be applied both left and right.
Darco splint postoperative replacement
This splint is intended for postoperative immobilization and positioning or post-traumatic immobilization after injury. In addition, this splint is also very suitable for short-term stabilization for example with (Achilles tendon) cracks. Also for dislocations, fractures, sprains or sprains. Available at an angle of 90° or 110° degrees. The built-in crochet and loop strips prevent slipping away from the bandages. The splint has a soft inner lining and is lightweight for extra wearing comfort. The anatomically correct contour ensures an optimal fit. The Posterior Plus splint has a moderate angle position for patients with dorsal extension in the upper ankle joint. This splint is equipped with two oval recesses that provide additional air circulation. The large heel shape prevents pressure points.
