Push ortho Ankle Brace Aequi. The Push ortho Ankle Brace Aequi is an efficient ankle orthothesis that provides a good balance between powerful mechanical support of the unstable ankle and wearing comfort. The rigid support is located only on the medial side of the ankle and has a cutout on the malleolus. The lateral silk is made of preformed foam, which easily adapts to the individual shape of the ankle. The brace is closed by a diagonal band. The elastic bands apply pressure around the ankle.

The Push Aequi can be used for functional treatment of ankle injuries and for long-term use in case of chronic instability. The inversion/eversion movement (outward and in tilting of the foot) is limited, while plantar dorsal flexion (bending and stretching) is released to a sufficient extent, thus not experiencing any discomfort when rolling off the foot. The Push Aequi is carried over the sock. Optimal stabilization is achieved when the brace is worn in a closed (lace) shoe.

Indications

Severe (residual) instability (with heavy load), treatment of acute lateral ankle ligament lesions, after-treatment of conservatively or surgically treated ankle fractures, osteoarthritis with instability without fluid formation and secondary prevention of an ankle ligament lesion (in case of heavy stress without fluid formation).
