There are two different variants of the dynamometer:
- DHD-1
Designed for reliable evaluations of grip force from 0 to 90 kg (200 lb). It has an easy to read LCD screen. This hand dynamometer has an electronic zero calibration system and up to 40 test data can be stored in memory. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion polymer battery and data is not lost when replacing the battery. The Data Transfer Software can transfer the test results to .txt files, which are easily accessible through Notepad or MS-Word for editing and printing.
Range: 0 – 90 kg (200 lbs)
- DHD-3
The DHD-3 digital hand dynamometer (SH1003) provides the same features as the DHD-1 when used as a standal kilometer, but adds automated Rapid Exchange Grip Testing. In automatic mode, up to 10 strength tests for each hand and the time to change hands can be configured to automate the test procedure.
The Grip Strength Testing and Research (G-STAR) software further expands the capabilities of the DHD-3. G-STAR is a user-friendly yet powerful software tool that automates grip strength tests and endurance tests in both clinical and research environments. All patient information and test results are stored in an Access database of normative score tables for age and gender comparison. Maximum grip strength and grip endurance tests are graphically displayed during testing and can be stored in the database with the corresponding patient data. In addition, tests stored in the DHD-3 itself when used as a standal requiring device can be imported into the database when reconnected to the PC via G-STAR.
Range: 0 – 90 kg (200 lb) / Minimum requirements: Windows XP + USB port
